Since the 1970s, the use and perception of images in the mass media has been central to the work of Rudolf Bonvie. In the series entitled 'La chasse photographique', he works with pictures found in the print media, using these to address the presentation of violence and the supposed objectivity of the mass media when dealing with information.
'YouTubeArbeiten' focuses on images drawn from the newest information medium: the internet. Zoning in on the YouTube video portal, these works deal with the increasing flood of taboo content on the internet and the attempts to keep this in check.
