After having received the German Book Award (Deutscher Fotobuchpreis) the monograph "Heinz Hajek-Halke. Form aus Licht und Schatten" won the "Rencontre d´Arles Book Award 2006" at the photography festival in Arles this summer.

The two volume monograph, which was compiled with the contribution of Galerie Priska Pasquer, gives the first comprehensive overview of life and work of Heinz Hajek-Halke. Besides his famous works like the series "Black-White Nudes" the monograph contains a number of unknown photographs, montages and documents.
